  • Jimmy Asquith, the UK DJ and producer who runs Lobster Theremin, is starting a white label record series to release his own music. The series will be separate from what Asquith does with Lobster Theremin, and it will be the first time he puts out tracks credited to his own name. Previously, he has released as Tom Hang and Chicago Flotation Device—the latter alias reappearing just last month with an untitled EP. First up for ASQ001 is The Conditioning Track, which features a "NYC Mix" on the A-side and a "North London Mix" on the flip, according to today's announcement. The 12-inch comes out next month, and Asquith says more records will follow before the year is out. Meanwhile, the Lobster label continues to grow. Its main imprint reached release number 50 last month with an EP from Route 8, followed by a Supreems EP that just landed. Listen to the "NYC Mix."
Tracklist A The Conditioning Track (NYC Mix) B The Conditioning Track (North London Mix) Jimmy Asquith's white label series will release The Conditioning Track on August 3rd, 2018.
