Isle Of Jura will launch a new compilation series with Jura Soundsystem Presents Transmission One.
The label says Transmission One is "the first in a series of compilations by Jura Soundsystem [featuring a] blend of dub, ambient, downtempo, boogie and proto-house with a focus on music never before released on vinyl, sought after out-of-print titles and some special versions edited specifically for the album." The collection includes a track from Legowelt under his Smackos alias originally released on CD-R in 2007, a "Go Go Style" mix of Peoples Potential Unlimited affiliated artist Mix-O-Rap's "All Party People" and disco-oriented cuts from Kash and Tabou Combo Superstars. Jura Soundsystem, AKA label boss Kevin Griffiths, has edited several tracks and provides four "ambient tools" to close out the compilation.
