BANK Records NYC is putting out the first vinyl album from E-Saggila, titled Dedicated To Sublimity.
The Iraq-born, Toronto-based producer and live act, real name Rita Mikhael, will be back on Entro Senestre's label following two vinyl releases over the past 12 months. Dedicated To Sublimity reportedly "picks up where she left off" with last year's Tools Of My Purpose 12-inch. Having developed a dark, roughed-up sound that blends techno, industrial and noise influences/sensibilities, we're told she offers "a more sublime and immersive electronic document" this time around.
Besides her connection with BANK, Mikhael has put out a number of cassette releases in recent years, including two for Opal Tapes. She's also the cofounder of the tape imprint Summer Isle, home to more of her own music. Back in March she contributed to the Physically Sick 2 charity compilation.
