  • Teste are returning with a new EP titled The Box Man. Due out in June on BITE, the new label run by Hayden Payne (Phase Fatale) and Florian Engerling, this record is the first new original material from Teste in 25 years. The legendary techno project, which emerged from Ontario in the early '90s with the iconic tune "The Wipe," is now under the control of original member Dave Foster, also known as Huren, and Martin Maischein, a longtime German producer who goes by Goner and other aliases. Foster and Maischein, after first meeting in Berlin last year, teamed up to craft five tracks for The Box Man. Before its release next month on vinyl and digital formats, the duo will play live in London on Saturday, May 26th. Teste's only other actions in recent years have been a few live shows and a collaboration with Edit-Select, released in 2014 ahead of a series of "The Wipe" remixes from artists such as Rrose, Steve Bicknell and Terence Fixmer. The new EP is the second release for BITE, which launched in March with a collaborative record from Phase Fatale and Silent Servant. Listen to its title track on Soundcloud.
