  • Skylab Radio, a new online radio station, will begin broadcasting from Melbourne today. Simon TK and Chico G are the local DJs behind the venture, which will be setting up shop above Bar Romantica—an overhaul of cult East Brunswick venue Cafe Romantica which is due to open soon. Broadcasting three days per week to start, scheduled hosts on the station include Wax'o Paradiso, Melbourne Deepcast's Myles Mac, Roza Terenzi, Lauren Hansom, Ken Oath label head Earl Grey, Naise and Jennifer Loveless. The programme "will represent a broad spread of both Melbourne and global music scenes" and "with no broadcasting restrictions, presenters will have the option of more talk-based shows, or simply letting the music speak for itself," according to the station's press material. The inaugural day of broadcasting begins video streaming at midday local time on May 4th, and features slots from Lori, Millú, Midnight Tenderness and DJ JNETT.
