The 150-capacity listening bar, next to the city's Casa Bonay hotel, will bring DJs like Sassy J and JD Twitch to Barcelona over the next month.
A new music venue has opened in Barcelona.
Nica is a multi-purpose listening bar with an audiophile soundsystem, located next door to the Casa Bonay hotel on Gran Via De Les Corts Catalanes. The 150-capacity venue was put together in part thanks to London's Brilliant Corners, who helped set up the space and the soundsystem.
The Hivern Discs A&R, Daniel Baughman, will curate the lineups, and has locked in dates with DJs like JD Twitch, Sassy J, Alicia Carrera and DJ Fati, as well as live performances from Milan W and O Yuki Conjugate. (They've already hosted a few nights, including one with Hunee last week.)
The next event at Nica takes place tomorrow afternoon: Jamie Tiller and Raphaël Top-Secret will play a four-hour set on the back of the recent Music From Memory compilation, Uneven Paths: Deviant Pop From Europe 1980-1991.
