- Label boss Kai Alcé, Kyle Hall and more feature on the compilation, to be released at Deep Detroit #10.
Kai Alcé's NDATL Muzik will celebrate ten years with a party—Deep Detroit #10 featuring Derrick May—and a double-pack with exclusive tracks from the likes of Omar-S and Kyle Hall.
Alcé's annual Movement weekend party, Deep Detroit, is a well-loved tradition for fans of Motor City-style house and techno. Since 2010, NDATL has released a "special edition" record at the party, and previous editions have featured tracks by Theo Parrish, Larry Heard, Marcellus Pittman, Chez Damier and Alcé himself. The label owner compares the records to a "program from a concert," primarily sold at the party with copies given to contributors "so most of the profits go directly back to the artists involved."
This year sees Alcé's party and label celebrate ten years. On Saturday, May 26th, Derrick May and Alcé will play all night in Detroit at Red Door Digital.
He'll release a double 12-inch called NDATL 10 Year Special Edition at Deep Detroit. It features new and unreleased tracks from May's legendary Rhythm Is Rhythm, as well as Damier, Kyle Hall (in collaboration with Alcé), Mike Huckaby, Omar-S, Norm Talley, Javonntte and Breaking Through star Stefan Ringer.
