- The Taiwanese outfit behind Organik Festival will put out its first various artists 12-inch this summer.
Taipei's Smoke Machine crew have announced initial plans for their own label platform.
Smoke Machine started in 2011 as a podcast pushing techno, experimental and ambient sounds. Since then they've gotten into hosting their own events in Taiwan, the most prominent of which is Organik, a seaside festival whose 2018 edition takes place next weekend.
Their latest venture is an eponymous label that launches in the coming months with a compilation 12-inch. It features three artists who've already connected with Smoke Machine in one way or another: Blind Observatory and Dorisburg, who contribute a track each, and Agonis, who pitches in two cuts.
After Organik Festival itself, where all three artists are confirmed, Smoke Machine will throw a festival afterparty at Taipei's Korner on Saturday, May 5th, that also doubles as a launch event for the label. Dorisburg will play that one as well, and other artists on the lineup include Barker, Steve Bicknell, Aurora Halal & Relaxer and Smoke Machine's own Diskonnected.
A1 Blind Observatory - The Long Tomorrow II
A2 Dorisburg - Om Oceanen
B1 Agonis - Cryptic Neurotransmission II
B2 Agonis - Skin
Smoke Machine will release SMKMCHN#01 in mid-2018.
