- The intimate techno club adds new bar and pizza parlour levels, with more room for exhibitions and live performances.
Seoul venue Beton Brut will become Beton Brut : Concrete Bar : Rebus, renovating and expanding from one to three levels.
Having operated for two years as an intimate first-floor club space in Itaewon, the techno-focused Beton Brut has been relocated to the basement. The move gives the sparsely lit room a size upgrade, making room for a new Funktion-One soundsystem.
Filling in Beton Brut's first-floor spot will be Rebus, a partly outdoor pizza parlour that will also serve as a space for art exhibitions, live performances and cultural events. Next up on level two will be Concrete Bar, a smaller area with a laid-back music policy the venue says "combines the rawness of Beton Brut and the warmth of wood as a material." Both bars are due to open in April.
Berlin producer Discrete Circuit plays in the basement on Friday, April 13th, with locals Xanexx, Inger and Qna on the lineup for Saturday the 14th. Fachwerk boss Mike Dehnert is booked to play on July 14th.
Take a look at photos of the unfinished space.
