- It's the first full release under Marcus Kaye's drum & bass alias since his death last year.
SUNANDBASS Recordings is releasing a new EP from the late Marcus Intalex.
Since the UK artist, real name Marcus Kaye, died last spring, a trickle of material has come out under both his techno-oriented Trevino name and his Marcus Intalex alias. The self-titled EP features three tracks that "bear all of Marcus' musical hallmarks," according to the label, which it describes as "classical yet refined drum & bass tinged with Detroit techno and classic house."
The three tracks were earmarked for release on SUNANDBASS before Kaye's death, and their release has been approved by his family. There are no clips of the EP just yet, but here's a recording of Kaye DJing at SUNANDBASS in 2010.
