  • Rotterdam label Pinkman has announced several new projects in celebration of its fifth anniversary. Pinkman, run by Marsman, is an outlet for all sorts of roughed-up techno, EBM, industrial and acid. As of Monday, April 2nd, it's expanding into a bricks-and-mortar business with the opening of a record shop in Rotterdam's Schieblock. (The dance venue BAR is also located there.) The shop, which will also run online, is described as "an extension to the label" that will focus on "music and other merchandise made and released by those artists and labels that are closely related to Pinkman." On the new release front, Pinkman will mark the anniversary with a record series called 5 Years Of Tears. The first release will feature tracks from Ernestas Sadau, Alessandro Parisi, Identified Patient and Randstad, with two more volumes following later in 2018. In addition, Pinkman has new records coming from Credit 00, Black Merlin and Lokier, plus an album by Identified Patient. There's also a new Dollkraut EP on the way via the label's offshoot, Charlois. Several birthday events are in the pipeline, too. The first is at Rotterdam's BAR on Friday, March 2nd, followed by another at I-Boat in Bordeaux on March 24th. More events are TBA. On top of all that, Pinkman is launching a weekly podcast.
