Running Back is starting a new series called Incantations for "non dance floor" records.
The label points to its own past releases, like Tornado Wallace's Lonely Planet and Suzanne Kraft's Missum, as examples of records that fit the remit of the new series. The first Incantations release is an album from Andreas Grosser, a Krautrock musician who also dabbled in New Age and ambient music. (He notably collaborated with Klaus Schulze in 1987 on Babel.)
The recordings on Venite Visum were made between 1976 and 1980, and originally released—only on tape—in 1981 through UK label York House Recordings. This is the first time the music will be available on vinyl, CD and digital formats. Venite Visum also features an unreleased bonus track, "The Quantum Jump." The label describes the album as "some of the most out-there, hypnotic and still state-of-the art space music ever to be known to man."
