  • Bézier will release an album called Parler Musique via Dark Entries on February 19th. Robert Yang made the 52-minute album in his analog synth-focused San Francisco studio, where he also rehearses for live performances. The title translates to "Parlor Music," and the album is imagined as "evening music for a meeting of minds in a drawing room or a literary salon," according to the press release. Dark Entries also notes that the eight-track LP touches on punk, synthpop, jungle, new romantic, industrial and new wave. The one-sheet ends with a quote from Theodor Adorno's 1951 text Motifs: "Is the drum the successor of human sacrifice or does it still sound the command to kill?" Most of the Honey Soundsystem affiliate's music has been released through Josh Cheon's Dark Entries and the associated HNYTRX label. Last year Yang put out an EP called Primes on the former imprint, and he also regularly DJs with Dark Entries head Cheon. Check out our recent Label of the month feature on Dark Entries.
