  • Monkeytown has released an original soundtrack for the 2017 art film A Thought Of Ecstasy. Curated by Modeselektor's Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary alongside label artist Gajek, the soundtrack is made up of new original music from them, plus a couple tracks by Anstam, AKA Anno Stamm. Actress Deborah Kara Unger provides spoken word accompaniment for a number of the tracks. It has the first new music from Moderat—the trio of Modeselektor and Apparat—since they went on hiatus last year. The erotic art house film, much of which takes place in the California desert in the near future, follows "a man in search of a lost love," the promotional info says. "A woman lost in desire for revenge. A country paralyzed by heat and lost in suspicion and paranoia." Tracklist 01. Gajek - Opening 02. Anstam - Names 03. Gajek - Arrived In The Desert feat.
