  • The latest edition of BURN Residency has begun accepting applications. The annual DJ programme invites aspiring DJs to submit mixes, via the BURN Residency website, with a top prize of a €100,000 grant and a management contract. Those shortlisted by a panel of judges—Carl Cox, Pete Tong and Luciano were among last year's—will have the chance to take part in an "extensive talent programme" and secure gigs across Europe at major electronic music festivals. More details on the programme will be announced at a later date. Applications are open until March 20th. The Turkish DJ Furkan Kurt has secured several club residencies since winning last year, and Lollino, who took the top prize in 2016, has become a regular at HYTE, and has released a mix for John Digweed's Bedrock label. The competition is open to people living in Russia, Turkey, Italy, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Hungary, Brazil and Sweden. Photo credit: Marc Sethi
