  • Utrecht venue WAS. has been given permission to remain open for at least the first half of 2018. "We were supposed to operate as a pop-up club until the 1st of January 2018 but because of the big success we've been able to convince the venue owner to stay open," venue manager Veronique de Leon told Resident Advisor. "Therefore we will continue in the new year for at least six months and hopefully after that as well (things are looking good at least)." The space, which opened for the first time in September, has been running roughly one or two events monthly, with Hunee, Midland, Tijana T and Floating Points among recent guests. Still to come, DJ Stingray and Dr. Rubinstein will play on December 26th, followed by The Black Madonna on New Year's Eve and the Giegling crew on New Year's Day. Here are some arty photos of WAS., taken by Sven Signe den Hartogh.
