  • Wareika's next album is coming via Mule Musiq. The German band—made up of Florian Schirmacher, Henrik Raabe and Jakob Seidensticker—will follow up their 2016 album, The Magic Number, with their first full release on the Japanese label. Water, Sky, Sun, Wood comprises one lengthy track that the trio made from a four-hour live jam between Raabe and Schirmacher using piano, guitar, congas and a variety of synths, including an OB-6, Jupiter 6 and a Manikin Memotron. Schirmacher edited down the jam, Raabe added new elements and then Seidensticker mixed the final version. It'll come on CD and double-vinyl formats. The CD has an extra track, though details on that are still TBA. Water, Sky, Sun, Wood isn't the first time that Wareika have appeared on Mule Musiq—they remixed Jemmy in 2015, and Schirmacher's project Glowing Glisses had an EP on the long-running label almost ten years ago. Wareika have also released records on labels like Perlon, Visionquest, Tartelet and Circus Company. Tracklist 01. Water, Sky, Sun, Wood Mule Musiq will release Water, Sky, Sun, Wood on February 9th, 2018.
