- The record's four tracks are a tribute to the producer's home city.
Heathered Pearls will release Detroit, MI 1997 - 2001, an EP inspired by Detroit, via Ghostly International in December.
The Polish-born, Detroit-raised producer named each track after specific places in his hometown, including the Packard Plant and the Mack & Bellevue warehouse, both important sites for Midwestern rave culture. The photo he used for the artwork was made with pieces of cement taken from each of those places. "The EP is a tribute, not a replica," Ghostly points out. "The music pulses like a memory resurfacing, vivid but inexact: a form both familiar and new."
It's the first new music from Heathered Pearls in about two years, following his second album, Body Complex, from 2015.
