- The Night Slugs boss explores pop, hip-hop, dancehall R&B and grime across the 11-track set.
L-Vis 1990 will release a mixtape called 12 Thousand Nights later this month.
The Night Slugs cofounder has been somewhat quiet on the production front as of late. A press release notes he's been busy crafting "his progressive vision of hip-hop, R&B, dancehall and pop music," which will unfurl across 11 tracks featuring the likes of Jimmy Edgar, NA (Daniel Pineda of Nguzunguzu) and Warp artist GAIKA.
L-Vis, real name James Connolly, says his "goal was to create 'vignettes' about each vocalist's world." The press release says the tape, whose title refers to Connolly's age and 1001 Arabian Nights, tells "a story of random connections, blunted rappers, and old friends reconnecting in new towns."
