  • A new multipurpose space called CRANE will open in Birmingham this month. The venue, which is located in Digbeth, is being run by the team behind The Rainbow Venues. It will host club nights plus art exhibitions, markets, product launches, street food gatherings and theatre. The spot gets its name from a large crane that spans the width of the building, a former industrial facility with several spaces for events, including a 12,000 square-foot ground floor and a 7,000 square-foot cellar. The opening party is taking place on Friday, September 29th, with Steve Lawler, Richy Ahmed and Kölsch among the acts confirmed. The likes of Andy C, Midland and Gideön have also been booked to play at CRANE in the coming weeks.
