  • Jóhann Jóhannsson is no longer involved in the making of Blade Runner 2049, according to an Icelandic newspaper. The Iceland Review reports that the composer has been removed from the production of the Blade Runner sequel. Jóhannsson was originally tapped as the film's only composer, though earlier this year it was announced that Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch were added to assist him. Now the film's latest poster only shows Zimmer's name. Jóhannsson's representatives told Pitchfork that they couldn't comment on the situation due to a nondisclosure agreement. Blade Runner 2049, directed by Denis Villeneuve, a frequent collaborator of Jóhannsson's, will be released in theatres worldwide on October 6th, 2017.
