- Back To Square One, the first release on the Dutch producer's newly minted Rod Malmok label, is out next month.
Benny Rodrigues is putting out an album next month, Back To Square One, using the name Rod Malmok.
It's the first full-length for Rodrigues, a wide-ranging Dutch DJ and producer who's also made music using the alias ROD, and the inaugural release on his new label, also called Rod Malmok.
"Creating my debut album was mostly about finding the light and colored tones when things got dark and heavy in music and life," he says. "This also meant a serious reflection of my time and place in this world, which resulted in me embracing my voice more than ever before. I am ready."
Back To Square One will see release on double-vinyl and digital formats. It follows on from some two dozen records Rodrigues has put out over the past decade or so, including four for Ben Klock's Klockworks imprint. Figure, Voyage Direct, Smallville and Mord are some of the other labels that have featured his music.
