Dance Mania is starting a series of archival DJ Deeon compilation 12-inches.
DJ Deeon Doez Dance Mania collects rare and classic tracks that the ghetto house pioneer has put out on Dance Mania over the years, along with some unreleased productions. Deemed "100% hater-free," the project draws on Deeon's DAT archives, and every track has been remastered for the occasion.
Two records kick off the series next month. They include the unreleased "The 221" and "In This House," heard on Deeon's 1994 Dance Mania EP Funk City, as well as tracks originally coming under his Playground Productionz and Mute aliases—including fellow Dance Mania favorite Paul Johnson's unreleased remix of the Playground cut "The Box."
