  • Crammed Discs is reissuing Zazou / Bikaye / Cy 1's Noir Et Blanc. Originally released in 1983, the nine-track LP was a collaboration between Congolese musician Bony Bikaye, modular synthesists Claude Micheli and Guillaume Loizillon (AKA Cy 1), French composer Hector Zazou and a coterie of studio engineers. The album was noted for its striking combination of abstract, electro-leaning electronics and Bikaye's vocals and Congolese instrumentation. (It was famously referred to a few years after its release as "Fela Kuti-meets-Kraftwerk-on-the-dancefloor.") The new edition is the first vinyl reissue since its release 34 years ago and was remastered from the original analogue tapes. The original tracklist is supplemented by previously unreleased demos and remixes. Listen to "Dju Ya Feza."
