- London's fabric will throw a 30-hour party to celebrate its 18th birthday this October. The marathon party begins on 11 PM on Saturday, October 21st, and winds up at 5 AM on Monday, October 23rd. So far ten acts have been confirmed, with Ricardo Villalobos, Abdulla Rashim, Blawan, Jay Clarke, Margaret Dygas, Nicolas Lutz, Raresh and Voigtmann joining residents Craig Richards and Terry Francis. More names are still to be added for the birthday weekend, including the Fabriclive programme for October 20th, which the club promises will be a "full-on drum & bass tear-up." The club didn't celebrate its 17th birthday in October 2016—it was closed at the time after being shut down by authorities. It successfully fought a public battle against the decision and reopened in January of 2017. The club's recent history was captured in RA's recent Real Scenes: London film.
