Etapp Kyle has signed to Ostgut Ton for an EP, Alpha, that's due out in September.
The EP is the first full Ostgut Ton release for Kyle, a Ukrainian-born, Berlin-based techno producer and resident at the label's home club Berghain. We're told the record is "partially" related to his 2016 EP Continuum for the Unterton offshoot, and it packs "four tracks of pristine, sci-fi minimalism" that are "more utopian than dystopian."
Kyle initially connected with Ostgut Ton by contributing to the label's Zehn compilation back in 2015. He's also known for a pair of profile-raising 12-inches on Klockworks, the imprint run by longtime Ostgut Ton affiliate and Berghain resident Ben Klock—and he'll appear on the upcoming Klockworks 20 compilation.
Alpha follows recent releases on the label from Terence Fixmer and Kobosil.
