  • Peacefrog will re-release valuable '90s records from Glenn Underground and Gemini this month. First up is the debut album from Glenn Underground (real name Glenn Crocker), Atmosfear. The Strictly Jaz Unit founder originally released the double-LP in 1996, a combination of "jazz vibes and Detroit techno" influenced by his upbringing on Chicago's South Side listening to disco and jazz. The Atmosfear repress just hit stores along with a new version of C.V.O. Trance, an EP he released on Peacefrog the same year. Crocker remains prolific in the present, with two new EPs already out this year—Stallions for deepArtSounds and Afro Gente / Fuego De Sangre on Strictly Jaz Unit. This month Peacefrog will also repress a 12-inch from the mysterious Chicago producer Spencer Kincy, AKA Gemini, On The North Star. It was one of Kincy's three mid-'90s Peacefrog releases, alongside the In And Out Of Fog And Lights LP and the Hibernation 12-inch. Kincy, who vanished off the scene amidst rumors of mental illness, is also the subject of a five-part reissue series spearheaded by UK label Anotherday.
