  • Yves De Mey's Grey Branches project will return with an album for Inner Surface Music called Neuroclaps. The ten-track LP sees the Belgian experimental artist "bringing together sounds and influences from techno, jungle, dub, experimental and ambient music," according to the label. Coming on two slabs of wax next month, it marks Inner Surface's first foray into the album format. De Mey, who is also known for the Sendai production project and Archives Intérieures label he operates alongside Peter Van Hoesen, has used the Grey Branches moniker just once before. Back in late 2014, he connected with Inner Surface to put out the Lower Bounds EP. Preview the record at Redeye, and learn more about De Mey's methods with this RA feature from last year. Listen to a 2014 Grey Branches cut, "Binate."
