  • MUTEK Montreal has added the last batch of names to its 2017 lineup. This year, the festival is moving from its usual early June spot on the calendar to the end of August. So far they've announced names like Surgeon and Lady Starlight, Zip, Daphni, Max Cooper and Monolake, and MUTEK have just rounded out the lineup with a few more international headliners plus some Canadian artists. Among the highlights are Beatrice Dillon, Lotic, Helm and noisy techno act Shit And Shine, along with the UK's Reginald Omas Mamode IV. You're Me—the duo of Vancouver's Yu Su and Scott Gailey—are also billed, with fellow Vancouverite ESB and Canadians Valeda, Christian Olsen, Stereo_IMG and Racine & Wolski. The festival runs from August 22nd through 27th at a variety of venues, both indoors and outdoors, around Downtown Montreal. MUTEK will also host Sunday the 27th at Piknic Electronik at the Parc Jean-Drapeau, with Seth Troxler and Vincent Lemieux set to play. MUTEK will also host events with Max Graef in the lead-up to the festival, happening on June 15th in Toronto and the 16th in Montreal.
