  • A 20 Years Of Perlon party will go down at Closer in Kiev on July 1st. The party's top billing is rare live set from Dimbiman, a production alias of Perlon cofounder Zip. He's only played live under the name—which is responsible for minimal classics such as "V," "Do The Dimbi" and "Lava"—a few times, which makes the upcoming Closer event a special date for Perlon fans. There's not much information about past sets around, but a forum post following a show in 2004 says it used a Korg ElecTribe, a MIDI controller and a laptop running Ableton Live. A number of DJ sets are also confirmed for the Closer event. Fumiya Tanaka and Spacetravel will both spin records, as will Zip. The party marks the fourth birthday party of Lesnoy Prichal, Closer's outdoor dance floor. Superlongevity 6, the next edition in Perlon's compilation series, comes out the next day, and will be available to purchase at the party. This is the second in a series of events announced for Perlon's 20th anniversary. The first was a 46-hour party in Berlin, which begins on August 4th, with Ricardo Villalobos, DBX and Binh among the names billed.
