  • Terrence Parker has announced his next album, GOD Loves Detroit. Due out on June 30th via Planet E, the LP comprises 12 tracks based around the themes of God and Detroit. It'll be Parker's second album for Carl Craig's legendary techno label, following 2014's Life On The Back 9. Active since the early '90s, Parker is a key name in Detroit house, best known for his 1996 track "Your Love." "The concept of God Loves Detroit came first in 2013," Parker explains. "By this time the city of Detroit had just filed bankruptcy, making it the largest municipal bankruptcy debt filing in US history. The city was the subject of jokes on late night television, and ridiculed globally. I couldn't help but feel GOD loves Detroit and must be allowing this for a reason. As the city began to slowly turn around I too was inspired to create a collection of songs that would ultimately make up the album." Listen to "GOD Loves Detroit (The Resurrection)."
