Le Loup and Pura have announced a new label called Shadow Play.
Launching with Le Loup's The Ancient Ways EP in May, Shadow Play will be an outlet for a variety of sounds. It's been set up to channel the founders' many influences, which range from Detroit techno and electro to IDM and jazz. The Ancient Ways will be Le Loup's first release of 2017, and sees him deliver three electro-tinged house cuts. Edurne Lutz, a graphic designer who runs My Own Jupiter with Nicolas Lutz, handles Shadow Play's artwork. Le Loup has collaborated with Chris Carrier for the label's second release, which is due out in June.
One of France's best-known house producers, Le Loup has affiliations with labels such as Adult Only and Eklo, plus the Hold Youth project with fellow Parisian Seuil.
