Max Loderbauer and Jacek Sienkiewicz have come together for a new album.
END is the latest product of a partnership that started in 2015 with the Ridges EP, and continued with a performance at Berlin Atonal and a resulting live EP last year. The new record was made after those events, with label Recognition calling it the "natural conclusion of their friendship, conversations, meetings, trips and recording sessions, [which] operate according to the rule of free improvisation with a reduced instrumental setup."
Comparing the material to Popul Vuh and Ilhan Mimaroglu, Recognition also describes the work as "post-brutalism compositions" and "pastoral-tropical soundscapes... devoid of a distinct beginning and end, fluid and polymorphous."
END, which is coming out on CD and digital, also features both tracks from the Ridges EP in full.
