  • Shanti Celeste will start up an imprint called Peach Discs with a solo 12-inch this coming February. The Chilean-born producer came up as part of Bristol's well-respected Idle Hands crew. A former employee of the shop of the same name, she also started the BRSTL label with Idle Hands founder Chris Farrell back in 2011. She's put out music on Apron, Secretsundaze and Future Times, though this year has been somewhat quiet on the production front as Celeste gets busier as a DJ. She had an exclusive track on Objekt's Kern Vol. 3, remixed L.M.Y.E. and appeared on the second War Child fundraiser compilation. Celeste will launch the label with an untitled two-tracker, her first solo release in over a year, while a statement hints at a few new records from associates in the works. "I want to release music that makes me happy, and build a little family with all my friends and friends of friends who I know are making great music," she says. "I also want this to eventually be my main home for releases. In the future there will be releases by a new Bristol duo called Fred and a 12-inch by Samuel, as well as many others."
