DJ Harvey throws New Year's Eve party in LA

- The second Flaming Man event goes down at Lot 613 on December 31st.
- DJ Harvey will headline a hometown show at Lot 613 to ring in 2017. Harvey Bassett, the UK-born, California-dwelling legend, has had a banner year, continuing his residency at Pikes Hotel in Ibiza, starting one up at XOYO in London, sharing the stage with Grace Jones in Bali and hitting the festival circuit hard. (Check out Carlos Hawthorn's review of a night at that Ibiza residency.) Despite his globetrotting ways, Bassett has also been playing in LA fairly often. He has a gig with A Club Called Rhonda the night before Thanksgiving, played the first Flaming Man party at Lot 613 with Honey Soundsystem over Pride weekend and also guested at the seventh anniversary of Silver Lake gay party Bears In Space back in July. Chris Bowen and Victor Rodriguez, who look after Bears In Space as well as Cub Scout, are on support for New Year's Eve gig. The Flaming Man event is being put on by Prototype.
