  • Secretsundaze will release its first label compilation, DANCE 2017, on January 27th, 2017. The ten-track effort, which pulls together cuts by Fred P, Shanti Celeste, DJ Qu, Brawther and more, will form part of the London crew's latest concept, also called DANCE 2017. In addition to the compilation, there will be a party series and a run of EPs. The project launches on November 22nd with a three-track 12-inch, featuring music by Fred P, Nubian Mindz and a collaboration between James Priestley & Marco Antonio. "DANCE 2017 references the names of dance comps of the late '80s and '90s," says Smith. "I first heard early house on a NOW compilation in 1988 at the age of 15. I vividly remember being sat in my friend's mum's car parked in the school playground and stuff like MARRS, Bomb The Bass and Krush were booming out of the stereo. That was it, we were hooked!" The first party, taking place at Hackney's Moth Club on New Year's Day 2017, will feature all-night sets from label and party founders, Giles Smith and James Priestley.
