  • Cleveland's In Training series will celebrate two years in operation this Saturday at Now That's Class. Bill Converse has headlining honors for the "queer run/queer enforced" electronic music night's birthday party. A Michigan native who's lived in Austin, Texas since the late '90s, Converse has garnered increasing attention recently with the acid-heavy techno and house he produces, recently released on Dark Entries. He's also known as an adventurous DJ, as heard on his RA podcast from back in February. In Training resident Kiernan Laveaux, who will DJ, along with Ghost Noises and Glacial23—two live acts and members of In Training's "extended family"—make up the Cleveland contingent on Saturday night's lineup. Once again, admission will be open to those 18 and over. Beforehand, on Friday, In Training is set to team up with the Guide To Kulchur bookstore for a curated discussion "about the genesis of House and Techno music as sonic resistance for black and brown people." Tune in to Converse's contribution to the Acid Camp podcast from this past summer.
