- For his first release, Joshua Guerin splits a 12-inch with Rickers, a fellow resident at the Detroit club.
My BaBy will launch with a split EP from founder Joshua Guerin, AKA Mister Joshooa, and Rickers.
Guerin is the music director and resident DJ of TV Lounge, one of Detroit's key house and techno spots. (The club celebrated its ninth birthday last month). The new record label will kick off with a split 12-inch from Guerin and Rickers, who is a fellow resident DJ at the club. Each producer contributes an original track and then a remix to the B side. They say the EP "carries on the Motor City's darker techno tradition," with "inflections of acid, house, sludge and breaks."
