- The Windy City promoter will also bring Kaytranada and The Martinez Brothers to town over the next few months.
Chicago promoter React has revealed its programming for the fall.
As usual, React's plans heavily involve its two home venues: the West Loop club The Mid, and Concord Music Hall in the Wicker Park-Logan Square area. Kaytranada, whose debut album 99.9% dropped on XL Recordings this past spring, will bring his blend of hip-hop, house and soul to Concord this Thursday, a week before Canadian duo Bob Moses are booked at the venue. Classixx, Neon Indian and Booka Shade are also confirmed there over the next couple months.
Meanwhile, The Mid hosts South African star Black Coffee this Friday, and Pete Tong next Saturday the 15th. Cut Copy and Cajual Records artist Sonny Fodera (headlining a Halloween show) count among the club's October bookings. Looking further ahead, a double-billing of DJ Sneak and Mark Farina, Hot Since 82, Apollonia and The Martinez Brothers will all swing through town for gigs at The Mid.
React is also known for its large-scale events and festivals. Over Halloween weekend, they'll be returning to Toyota Park in suburban Bridgeview for Freaky Deaky. Now in its eighth year, Freaky Deaky will feature the usual big-name acts like Tiesto and Gareth Emery, along with Disclosure, Boys Noize and the likes of Dubfire, Jamie Jones and Guy Gerber.
Also happening during Halloween weekend, React will host UK trip-hop legend Tricky back in the city at Wicker Park's Double Door on Sunday the 30th.
