The Blackest Ever Black duo also have dates in New York and San Francisco.
Raime will headline The Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever on October 14th.
The duo of Joe Andrews and Tom Halstead released their second album via Blackest Ever Black back in June. That full-length, called Tooth, found an unlikely middle ground between grime, garage and US post-hardcore acts like Fugazi. Fitting then, that Daniel Higgs, the experimental guitarist and singer who used to front Dischord Records band Lungfish, is on support in LA.
The prolific avant guitarist Noveller is also on the bill, as is LA experimental fixture Pod Blotz. Freak folk veteran Devendra Banhart is set to spin records between bands. The gig is organized by Highland Park institution Mount Analog —they've brought acts like Demdike Stare and Grouper to the storied Hollywood cemetery in the past.
On Thursday, before the LA show, Raime headline an NYC date at Analog BKNY with Alessandro Cortini on support. And on Saturday the 15th, they'll play San Francisco's Gray Area Foundation For The Arts. Downwards affiliates Grebenstein and Layne make their respective US debuts at that event.
