Ryan Crosson and Luke Hess will take top billing at the birthday bash next weekend.
Marble Bar will host a one-year anniversary party with Visionquest next Saturday, October 1st.
The dance spot and live music venue opened last fall in the site of the former Detroit Eagle, a long-standing gay bar that closed in 2010. Since then they've booked acts like Daniel Bell, Terekke and Laurel Halo, plus local scene staples like BMG and Jay Daniel. Their first birthday party is presented by the Visionquest camp, with sets from label founder Ryan Crosson alongside Luke Hess, who's celebrating the release of his Selectors EP. There will be opening sets from Ted Krisko (of Ataxia) and a handful of Detroiters, including John Johr and Jacob Park.
Listen to Luke Hess' new EP for Visionquest.
