Aphex Twin will take top billing at the festival in December, his first US show in eight years.
The Day For Night festival will go down in Houston on December 17th and 18th.
The lineup's crown jewel is Aphex Twin, who confirmed on Tuesday that he was booked for his first US show in almost a decade. The booking runs a wide gamut from pop to hip-hop and indie rock, with a handful of electronic and experimental acts peppering the bill. "The focus," festival organizers say, "is on acts that specialize in an inventive and highly visual approach to performing."
Björk is onboard to present an "immersive exhibition of digital and video works," as well as a couple of DJ sets. Her frequent collaborator Arca is also on the lineup, as are Matmos, Squarepusher (playing with with his band Shobaleader One), Mykki Blanco, SOPHIE, Oneohtrix Point Never and Clams Casino. Noise rock duo Lightning Bolt are booked, as is film score legend John Carpenter, who's gearing up to play his first-ever live dates this fall.
