- The two experimental festivals will collaborate for a three-night program in the Russian port city next month.
Unsound and CTM will host a three-day program in Vladivostok, Russia, from September 15th to 17th.
The festival is part of Unsound's Dislocation tour, which will make stops in Russia, Central Asia and the Caucasus over the next year and a half. For their Vladivostok event they've booked an opening night performance from PAN artist Helm, who will premier a new work called "Inner Space: Siberia." The show was created with the Greek art collective Embassy For The Displaced and Russian musician Moa Pillar, and attempts to portray the region through video and audio. Moscow-based techno experimentalist Buttechno also has an audiovisual show lined up for the night.
The second day of the festival has Rabih Beaini, AKA Morphosis, booked for a live project based on the work of French filmmaker Vincent Moon. (Beaini also contributed to RA's Exchange podcast last month.) For the more club-oriented side of the program they've got sets from Laurel Halo and Lotic, plus a number of Vladivostok DJs: Soong Reader, Nemtin, Apapr, Optic, Workpop and Deephead.
