smartbar hosts a How To Kill Records showcase

- Shady P and The Friend's Detroit label will take over the Chicago club early next month.
- smartbar will host a showcase for Detroit label How To Kill Records on Saturday, September 3rd. How To Kill is a vinyl-only imprint, launched nearly three years ago, that champions a raw, pitched-down sound known as Detroit sludge. Five affiliates are on the lineup for this showcase: label bosses Shady P and The Friend (who's also about to release an EP through Tokyo's Doddadsee), along with Marshall Applewhite, Adult Supervision and Suitor. Suitor is part of Matilda, who'll take care of the night's visuals. Check out The Friend's track "100% Natural Experience," which saw release on How To Kill earlier this year.Tickets for the night are available here on RA.
