  • Mutek.MX has announced a second wave of artist names for their 2016 lineup. As usual, the festival's Mexico City branch balances straight-ahead house and techno with plenty of more experimental artists. Richie Hawtin tops their second lineup announcement, along with Planet Mu label boss Mike Paradinas—AKA µ-Ziq—and San Francisco wormhole techno producer Rrose. Fellow Californian John Tejada is also on the bill, as is Space Dimension Controller and Northern Electronics artist Acronym, who will head out from Sweden. Mexico City's own AAAA will play live electro and acid, and Chilean selector Imaabs will represent for the NAAFI Crew. They'll join a wide-reaching lineup that already includes Dixon, Holly Herndon, Jlin and Powell. The festival takes place across five days and four nights at multiple venues throughout the city. Check out our review of last year's Mutek.MX.
