  • Snowbombing will expand into Canada in 2017. The festival, which has been held annually in Austria for 18 years, will take over the Sun Peaks Resort in British Columbia from April 6th through 10th, according to Music Week. There's no word just yet on who'll be on the lineup for the first Canadian leg, but judging by recent Snowbombing editions, which featured acts like The Prodigy, Sebo K, Marcel Dettmann and Kerri Chandler, there should be plenty of heavy-hitters locked in. "20 years ago when we started Snowbombing it was a very distant dream to one day do it in North America," says Gareth Cooper, CEO of Broadwick Live, the company behind Snowbombing. "We are so proud and excited to be able to launch Snowbombing, Canada in the superbly stunning Sun Peaks resort. Not only is this one of the best ski locations in Canada, but strangely it looks just like our Austrian home, Mayrhofen." Snowbombing's European edition will take place in Mayrhofen from April 3rd through 8th. Watch a teaser video for Snowbombing 2017.
