  • Power Vacuum has a new sub-label called Inversions. Milo Smee, AKA Bintus, and Thomas Franklin, Smee's offsider in Clean & Jerk, have launched Inversions to provide an outlet for projects made with traditional instrumentation. The label's first release fleshes out this ethos with five tracks exploring shades of "electro-kraut, psych-punk, lo-fi pop folk, prog-fusion and drone doom-metal." Inversions 001 features "Bring The Hiss (Version)" from Stereolab alumni Tim Gane and Joe Dilworth, who appear as Cavern Of Anti-Matter, while Smee and Franklin contribute a cut as Clean & Jerk. Smee also appears as Booze with Demian Castellanos from The Oscillation. The set is rounded out by appearances from Fupper and Apothéose De La Trahison. Listen to a mix by the label founders detailing the influences shaping Inversions.
Tracklist A1 Cavern Of Anti-Matter – Bring The Hiss (Version) A2 Booze – 5 Minute Break B1 Fupper – I'm Fine Little Man B2 Clean & Jerk – Silhouette Du Barry B3 Apothéose De La Trahison – Escape to the Black Cloud Inversions will release Inversions 001 on September 12th, 2016.
