TX Connect's Farewell To Arps EP is out now on the brand new Jack Dept label.
The label is run by John Barera, who's released on Dolly and Argot, alongside Volvox, a resident at Brooklyn's late-night techno party Unter. They also book the Jack Dept club night at Bossa Nova Civic Club, which tends towards gritty acid, electro and jacking drum machine tracks. Their new platform launched this week with a digital three-tracker from Dallas producer TX Connect, AKA Gavin Guthrie. It follows his recent 12-inches for UK labels Horn Wax and Computer Controlled Records. The crew has a gig at Bossa Nova next Friday with 2MR Recordings boss Mike Simonetti and Chicago producer Ike Release.
