Troxy, Phonox and Store Street are just some of the spots that'll host acts like Dixon, Theo Parrish and Ben UFO in the coming months.
The Hydra has announced its 2016 season in full.
The London promoter will host 16 shows from August through December, with 15 of those taking place at various venues in London. (The other, a collaboration with The Warehouse Project, will go down at Manchester's Store Street.) This marks a change from the 2015 season, which was centred on Wapping's Studio Spaces E1 and Studio Spaces E2 on Kingsland Road.
Several of the London shows will feature all-night sets from a single DJ, starting with Mano Le Tough at The Colombian for Electric Minds on Friday, August 26th. Theo Parrish steps up at Studio Spaces E1 on October 22nd, followed by Ben UFO, Bonobo and Floating Points at the same venue on October 28th, November 4th and November 12th respectively. The only other all-night show is scheduled for Saturday, November 6th at Phonox with Michael Mayer.
The rest of the schedule is a mix of label showcases and collaborations with other promoters. On Sunday, August 28th, The Hydra will team back up with James Ruskin's Blueprint outlet for a 12-hour techno session, before Innervisions' Lost In A Moment party returns to Essex's Osea Island on September 10th. In October, Spectral Sound will take over Village Underground on the 22nd (Audion, Matrixxman, Moiree), followed by a Halloween party at Studio Spaces E1 in partnership with LWE. The lineup for that one is still TBA.
Six more events will happen across November and December. Innervisions hits East London's Troxy on November 13th (Dixon, Âme), and Dimensions hosts Moodymann, Moritz Von Oswald and a TBA guest (with ties to FXHE) at Studio Spaces E1 on the 26th. The first weekend in December is a busy one, with Numbers (Bussey Building, Friday the 2nd), fabric (Studio Spaces E1, Friday the 2nd) and Levon Vincent's Novel Sound (Studio Spaces E1, Saturday the 3rd) all co-presenting parties, though the lineups will be revealed at a later date. The season wraps up on Friday, December 16th with the Warehouse Project night. Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock and Andrew Weatherall are among the names for that one.
