- The first record, Connecta, comes out next month.
Swindle is releasing a new trilogy of EPs, starting with Connecta on August 12th.
The new series picks upright where last LP Peace, Love & Music left off, continuing on the theme of travel and world music. Connecta was recorded in São Paulo, getting "deeper into Brazilian vibes" for a an EP that celebrates "the joy of summer," according to label Butterz. It features a collaboration with Ricardo China as well as a remix from bassline head DJ Q. You can watch an announcement video or stream the title track over at Bandcamp.
Exact details on the other two records are still up in the air, but the second, Purple Walls, was made in LA, while the third was recorded in London with local MCs and will be a "funk & grime" EP.
